Today we are excited to share a wonderful Flower Chest project from Beacon Maker and Designer Tonya Trantham, Creative Addiction To Paper.
Tonya used a variety of supplies including the Train Case Die Cut from Sizzix and her fave glue Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry to put all the pieces of the chest together.
So many possibilities with this project. You could use these chest for party favors, fill with candy, hold secrets or trinkets in. Perhaps make some holiday ones filled with tiny treats to give away to friends. Lets scroll down and see how Tonya made this fun flower chest.
Sweet Flower Chest
By Tonya Trantham
Hi everyone! It’s me, Tonya and I’m here to share a fun little chest I created using the Train Case diecut. I started by cutting the chest from matboard and patterned card stock for both the outside and inside of the case. I used my favorite go to Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry Glue to put the chest together.
I attached the hinges and clasp to the lid and trunk of the case with brads. On a side note if you don’t have the right color of hardware…in my case the hinges where a bright green you can spray paint them (or paint) to match your project.
I adhered the patterned card stock to the inside of the chest and finished off with trim and flat back pearls.
I embossed card stock with Printer’s Ornament folder and adhered to the top of the lid. Next I added a lace cut out along with an assortment of paper flowers, pearl sprays, twigs and paper ivy leaves that where cut from the Spring Greenery die cut.
I dressed up the chest with mini pom pom trim and lace and now it is ready for some sweet little goodies for one of my friends.
As always if you have any questions about this project please give me a holler and I will do my best to answer you.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is awesome and enjoy creating!
How great was this project from Tonya? So sweet, so fun and so perfect. Come back soon for more projects from all the incredible Beacon Makers and Friends!
