Flower and Bead Craft ProjectPunched Flower and Bead Clock
Level: Moderate

Materials
LIQUID LAMINATE
GEM-TAC
ZIP DRY

Opaque paper paints in white, metallic gold, and buttercream
5” X 61/2 “ wood clock
Very tiny gold beads
1⁄2” flat, soft craft brush
Three sizes and shapes of paper flower punches, your choice
Blue and ivory vellum
White tissue paper, make up sponge, stylus

Instructions:
1. Tear small pieces (about 3” each) of tissue paper and crinkle. Brush LIQUID LAMINATE to a small area of the clock. Open up the crinkled tissue and press onto the wet area of the clock. Coat more LIQUID LAMINATE over the paper. Continue with this method until the entire clock, front and back, is covered. Set aside to dry.
2. Paint entire clock with buttercream paint and let dry. Using your finger, rub gold paint onto the paper on the clock, leaving highlights on the raised areas. Let dry.
3. Cut GEM-TAC’S bottle tip as small as possible to release only a small amount of glue at a time. You can also use either a toothpick or opened paperclip for applying dots of glue where needed.
4. Apply glue to the clock in small spirals as seen in the pattern example. Sprinkle the tiny gold beads over the glue and dry for about an hour. Put excess beads back in the container.
5. Punch out several blue vellum and blue paper flowers with the smaller paper punch. Punch out more small flowers from both the yellow and ivory papers and cardstocks using a different flower punch. With the largest flower punch, punch out five flowers from the ivory cardstock and ivory vellum. Use the make up sponge and a stylus to press in the center of each flower.
6. Glue the flowers together with a tiny dot of ZIP DRY. Glue ivory vellum flowers to the center of the yellow flower and the blue vellum to the centers of the blue flowers. Glue the large ivory vellum to the centers of the large ivory paper flowers. Glue the yellow flowers to the centers of each of the five larger flowers. Let everything dry.
7. Add dots of gold metallic paint to the centers of each yellow flower and white dots to the centers of each blue flower. After they dry, follow the placement on the photo to position each flower onto the clock. Glue in place with ZIP DRY. Add small trios of white dots here and there to add interest.
