Instructions:
1. Mix a tiny dot of red modeling compound with a marble-sized ball of white clay to make pink clay. The more red you use, the darker the pink clay will become. Mix together until it’s a uniform pink color. Roll out onto parchment or wax paper using the plastic roller. Measure to 1/8” thickness. Cut out heart with heart cookie cutter. Set aside to dry for about 2 hours.
2. Spray papier mâché heart with white spray craft paint, front and back. Let dry.
3. Tear small 2” pieces of pink mulberry paper. Apply LIQUID LAMINATE to papier mâché heart using a craft brush and press mulberry paper onto it. Continue until heart and handle are completely covered with paper. Add a finishing coat of LIQUID LAMINATE to entire project. Let dry.
4. Cut strips of white quilling paper and adhere diagnonally to one side of clay heart with ZIP DRY . Repeat diagonal paper strips in other direction on the heart. Let dry. Trim paper strips to edge of clay heart. Use ZIP DRY to adhere clay heart onto larger papier mache heart center.
5. Glue round pearls to perimeter of the heart with GLASS, METAL & MORE with a toothpick. Randomly add wire swirls and oval pearls onto heart with the glue and let dry.
6. Finish heart by dotting white paint between quilling strips, pearls, and swirls. Allow project o dry well before hanging.
