Grandparent's Brag BookGrandparent's Brag Book
Level: Easy

Materials
ZIP DRY PAPER GLUE

Cardstock—medium turquoise
and assorted pastel colors
Brass hook & staple closure (available
in home improvement or hardware stores)
Gold mini paper fasteners—25
7 1⁄2” X 9” sheets of white paper
for album pages, as many as desired.
Circle punches in 1/16” & 1/8” sizes; bright pink inkpad, assorted computer fonts, sewing machine & white thread, rotary tool & scoring blades, scissors, ruler

Instructions:
1. Cut an 8” X 11” rectangle from turquoise cardstock. Score a line 1 1/8” from one short edge and 4 7/8” from opposite short end. Fold scored ends in toward center to make a 5” X 8” album. Antique edges of album cover with pink ink, using a small piece of dry sponge.
2. Print WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE PICTURES OF MY ADORABLE GRANDCHILDREN (or some other message) on the different shades of pastel cardstock using mixed sizes and styles of fonts as in the photo. Try to put each word and question mark on a different shade.
3. Tear rectangles around the words, leaving ½” of space at ends for fasteners, and antique edges with pink ink. With the ZIP DRY, glue rectangles to album covers as in shown sample. Punch 1/16” holes in ends of word rectangles and attach mini-fasteners.
4. Punch holes in covers for hook and staple closure and attach with fastener as in the photo.
5. Stack white pages together. Draw a line down the center of the top page, dividing it into two 4 ½” X 7 ½” rectangles. Place stacked sheets inside album, lining up drawn line with scored line at top of album. See a machine straight stitch on top of the line to join the pages to cover (use the largest stitch and sew several times through the same holes.) Trim thread ends. Fold pages at stitching.
