Pretty Kitty Pal

MEOW! MEOW! Create a pretty kitty friend to decorate a shelf or give as a cute gift. Add a dowel and turn this sweet pussycat into a plant pick for a special cat lover.
Materials
HOLD THE FOAM GLUE
• Blue-grey acrylic paint
• Ebony black acrylic paint
• Light buttermilk or off white acrylic paint
• Green paper party cups, 1 package
• Bright pink acrylic paint
• True red acrylic paint
• 2 Craft hearts for ears, 1⁄2” X 1/8”
• Blue-grey acrylic paint
• White nylon brush, 3⁄4”
• White nylon, No. 1 round brush
• White nylon, No. 4 round brush
• Styrofoam ball, 1 1⁄2”
• Sytrofoam ball, 1”
• Styrofoam hen egg, 2 1⁄2” X 2”
• Chenille stem, black
• Dowel, small
• Yarn, any color
• Toothpicks

| Instructions: |

With the small end of the egg pointing up, press the egg firmly on the counter or tabletop to flatten the bottom. |

Break the toothpick in half. Apply Hold The Foam Glue to one end, then poke it halfway into the 1 12/2” ball. Apply glue to the other end of the toothpick and press it onto the top of the egg. Poke the dowel to the bottom of the egg to use as a handle when painting the kitty. |

Wind yard around the 1” ball to make the kitty’s yarn ball. Secure the end of the yard to the ball with a drop of the glue. |

Paint the face area of the kitty with the light buttermilk or off white paint. Paint the remainder of the head and body with the blue/gray paint. |

Glue thePaint the heart ears with the blue/gray paint. When dry, paint the center of each ear with bright pink. bee’s body to the butterfly wings and then glue decorations to the wings. |

Dot the kitty’s eyes with ebony black. Dot the nose with true red. Let dry. Paint the kitty’s cheeks with bright pink. When dry, use the toothpick to add a light buttermilk or off white to each eye and cheek. |

Paint the kitty’s mouth line and whiskers with ebony black using the tip of the No. 1 round brush. |
| 8. |
Mix a little ebony black paint into the blue/gray paint to darken it and paint stripes on the kitty’s body and head with the mixture. Let dry. |

With the scissors, snip a slit for each ear at the top of the kitty’s head. Apply Hold the Foam Glue to the bottom of each heart, then press it into the slip. |

Apply glue to the other toothpick. Stick one end into the yarn ball and attach the ball to the front right, bottom edge of the kitty. |

Cut a 5” piece of black chenille stem. Apply glue to one end, then poke it into the back of the kitty’s body for a tail. Curl the tail around to the front of the kitten and bend into a “U” shape. |
