Magna-Cryl 3500 is Beacon’s highest strength UV-curable pressure sensitive adhesive. It is best suited for room temperature applications that require a highly aggressive and permanent adhesive bond to substrates including polyester, polycarbonate, PVC and BOPP. In addition, Magna-Cryl 5011 offers excellent adhesion to various metals, and paper stock.

Processing

Magna-Cryl 3500 was designed to be applied by rotary or flat screen printing equipment and cured using at least one UV light of 400 to 600 watts. It can be applied directly onto silicone release liner or a wide range of substrates in any desired pattern.

Magna-Cryl 3500 will cure at speeds of up to 70 feet per minute (with one UV light). Faster line speeds can be achieved by adding additional UV lights. Optimum adhesive strength is achieved with a coating weight of 25 microns. This is generally achieved with a 120 mesh screen.
