Whether its Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day or Election Day, its always great to show some Patriotic Love. Show our country and veterans how much we love them. Today is Election Day 2016 and I have come up with a few Election Day Projects to add some fun to your day.
The next project on our Election Day round up is DIY Paper Flags. These are so fast and easy to make. Just grab some Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac, Paper Straws and American Flag Clip Art.
- Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac
- Paper Straws (Target, Craft Stores, Dollar Store, Online)
- American Flag Clip Art (ours measured 4.25 x 2.5 inches)
- Other; Printer, Scissors, Printer Paper
Choose an American Flag clip art image and size it to 4.25 X 2.5 inches in your fave computer program. Then print and cut. (Pinterest has great sources for free clip art images).
Glue the edge of the American Flag to the top of a paper straw using Fabri-Tac, let dry. Repeat for every flag.
I love using Fabri Tac for a variety of projects including paper. It has such a great tacky hold and is fast grabbing. Its such a multi use glue.
These paper straw flags are great to place around the table and in planters this election day. You could even personalize each flag with your guests names or as table markers. Another idea is to link them together on bakery twine to make party banners.
Be prepared this election day with patriotic accessories and fare for your guests. Remember get out and vote.
