Today I’m excited to share with you a super fun set of Boho Bangles created with Beacon Adhesives Gem Tac, Wood Bangles, Paints and Jewelry Findings. This project is super easy to do and the results are so BoHo Chic. Perfect set of bangles for that special Coachella or Burning Man Outfit.
Be wild and free when you make these bangles. Even make them two different ways with or without clay. Its seriously a no fail project. So let’s get started…..
- Beacon Adhesives Gem Tac
- Wooden Bangle Bracelets, Thin or Wide.
- Acrylic Paints, Deco Art
- Jewelry Findings; Jump Rings, Tiny Gold/Silver Findings
- Tiny Pearl Bead Strands
- Clear Nail Polish
- Optional: Air Dry Clay (2nd version)
Note: The step outs are using a wide wooden bangle. The finished pieces are made with thin wood bangles.
Apply a coat of Gem Tac to 1/2 the bangle.
Mix in a coat of acrylic paint into the wet Gem Tac Layer, Let Dry.
Apply a second layer of Gem Tac to the bangle and mix in more paint.
Once the 2nd layer of Gem Tac and paint is applied wait a few minutes until it thickens and begin to insert tiny rhinestones, jump rings, jewelry findings and tiny pearl strands into the wet thick mixture until you are happy with the design.
Repeat steps 1-4 on the other half of the bangle.
Once the whole bangle is coated, decorated and dried, apply a layer of clear nail polish over the painted areas, let dry. Now your bangle is ready to wear.
- Try adding tiny caviar scrapbook pearls or glitter to your bangle.
- Add tiny pom pom trim to the edges or mini mirrors for more fun.
You can also coat the whole bangle with air dry clay, let dry, paint and add the embellishments with Gem Tac. Then coat with clear nail polish.
The possibilities are endless with this super easy project. Make them in all shapes and sizes. Colors and themes. A nice set of eggplant, royal blue and violet would be fabulous. Then lace in some mini mirrors for more magic.
